Fury Soccer Coach

To Whom It May Concern:
Rarely am I given the opportunity to write a letter of recommendation
for an athlete for whom I have such regard. It is, therefore, with great
pleasure and my enthusiastic support that I endorse Connor Davis as,
both, an upstanding individual and a highly-talented soccer player.
Having just completed his U16 club season, I have had the privilege of
being Connor’s R3PL soccer coach for the past year. Connor is a most
talented individual and has been a principle factor for his team’s
development and success. As a center back, Connor plays with a calming
influence, a confidence and the respect of his team mates. He is
commanding in the air defensively and a potent threat from set plays
with scoring on a most regular basis. He is quick on the ground and
cleverly reads and position’s himself well during a game. He has a good
range of passing and vision to match. Connor shows a great attitude to
not just playing and training within the game but his willingness to be
receptive to learning new ideas and buying into the team goals that are
set. He keeps the game simple and remains highly effective as a result,
and this is a direct reason for the success of his team and how very few
goals they concede.
Connor is unquestionably among one of the finest soccer players within
the team, as exemplified in the fact that he rarely leaves the field. He
is one of the main leaders on the team and shows hunger, desire and
determination to enhance that attribute within his game.
His all round attitude and focus to stride to be the best he can be is
admirable. I have yet to see Connor drop his very high standard whether
it’s in training, playing a game or staying away with the team at hotels
or traveling while representing his team.
Past and progressive performance, I feel, is often an honest indicator
of future potential. Therefore, without hesitation, Connor Davis
receives my strong recommendation.
Respectfully,
Andy Clarke

Super Y Coach recommendation
Connor Davis is the type of player every coach should have.
He is a combination of strength, size, speed, and heart. You and I
have discussed players that play the game and players that change the
game. Connor Davis is the latter. While his tactical knowledge needs a
bit more refinement, he really has very little weakness.
My vision for Connor is in the middle of midfield as an anchor. He can
control the game from that point using his tremendous ability to win
balls out of the air-which seems to be his greatest attribute.
Size strength and speed are something that we all look for as coaches,
but once in a while you see something else within a great player.
Whatever that is, Connor Davis has that.

Alpharetta Abush DOC recomendation
June12, 2010
Dear Coach,
I have had the privilege of Coaching Connor Davis since he joined the
Alpharetta Ambush program back as a U-10. He has been the captain of the
Alpharetta Ambush red team since then and all the way through to the
present R3PL team. He is technically very sound and is the one of the
best I have seen with set plays whether throwing in the ball or heading.
He can play all positions but I have had him on the back line as that
was our most critical position. He is an outstanding athlete that could
play multiple sports but his love is soccer. I understand he wants to
play D-1 soccer and I view him as being an impact player. He is
exceptional young man. We are fortunate to have in our program.
Please call me if you have any questions.
